Abiodun Egbetokun combines a background in engineering with advanced degrees and extensive experience in the foundations of successful innovation and entrepreneurship.
He was, until recently, a Deputy Director of Research at the National Centre for Technology Management in Nigeria. In that role, he made inputs regularly to policy debates in Nigeria and beyond, helping governments and organisations understand how to drive enterprise growth and innovation.
Since 2010, he has contributed to several high-level impact-oriented plans, policies and programmes, including Nigeria’s Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policy, the African Union’s Accelerated Industrial Development of Africa (AIDA) and UNIDO’s Africa Strategy.
Abiodun was President (2019-2021) of the Nigerian Young Academy and held a Science Advice for Policy Fellowship of the US National Science Foundation (NSF) in 2019. He currently teaches business management at De Montfort University in Leicester.
